RSS-Collector Module for Sitefinity

Our RSS-Collector Module is an easy to use Sitefinity-Module to collect RSS-Feeds from any webaddress you want.

Once you installed it with the help of our installation guid in your Sitefinity installation you can easily add new RSS-Feeds to your collection.

Easy add, edit and delete functions for your collection of feeds is not only nice to have. Also you can edit options e.g. the numbers of shown messages or the order to display your different feeds on your collectors Sitefinity-Page over the backend configuration.

 

With the flexible .ascx-Template, you can customize the layout and the informations displayed in your frontend.

Following RSS-Property-Placeholders are available for the frontend template:

 

• Title: The message title
• Link: Link to the source of the messsage
• Description: The body of the RSS-Message
• Author: Author of the message
• Category: RSS-Category of the message
• Comments: URL of a page for comments relating to the item
• PubDate: Indicates when the item was published
• Source: The RSS channel where the item came from

 

Currently our module only support RSS 2.0 format. Further versions will support RSS 0.9x, 1.x and Atom-Feeds with all their properties.
